We kicked off our little holiday with a few days in Tokyo. It was a return for me (matt) but a first time experience for Jenai. We stayed in a cute little traditional japanese style hotel with futons and tatami mats. Had a few very busy days strolling around the city, seeing temples, parks, and just the general vibe of the city. Highlights were the sumo wrestling tournament, wandering through the cool alleys and shops of the Harajuku shopping area, meeting up with Jenai's sis, bf and friends for another 30th celebration, and the simple pleasure of riding bikes through the city. We had some fantastic food as you'd expect. Jenai liked to get surprises from the japanese menus, and one night managed to order some expensive sake for her main course, which was not so terrible.
